The start of a school year is always a time to re-energize, but at four schools I worked with in the last week or so I think it was more than that. It was a time to focus on how we as educators want to change our practice in order to help our students prepare to meet challenges that, frankly, we did not face when we were their age.
Each school has a different trajectory towards that goal; we come with different backgrounds and resources, and our students are as diverse as the communities we serve. Here is a snip of what teachers are thinking about at the prestigious Hun School in Princeton, NJ. Are the conversations at your school similarly changing with the demands of the world?
