Renewed greeting, friends; it has been a while. Wisdom Road is alive and well, though into a different stage. The travels completed in the late spring, the book going through edits both large and small, and hoping madly that I have a publishing deal to report before too many more weeks have passed. Even then it will be months of hard work before I can tell you that the book is ready for your kind attention.
But that does not mean I have been dormant. Over the summer I was in synthesis mode, finding what it all meant, writing the final chapter of the book. I don’t mean to give it all away, but over the next few weeks or months, I will share with you snippets of those big takeaways, the distillation of what I learned from the many, many fine and generous people I met along the way, and the long, slow roads in between.
Because one big takeaway from my journey was this: Though we hope to hear wisdom and valuable ideas in those best sellers, podcasts, and media feeds to which we subscribe, I found that there is as much, perhaps more, value in a pile of ordinary sand as there is in a few gemstones.
So I hope you will read and share these short posts over the next weeks and months, reflect on their value, and be thankful, as I am, for those who shared them with all of us.
