America Is Not Two

A snippet from my Wisdom Road Takeaways and Synthesis; a reminder as we head into what will be the most contentious election in our lifetimes:

America is not divided in two.  We are one American mosaic made up of many different pieces.  Powerful forces try to push us into two severed buckets, red or blue, left or right, rich or poor, virtuous or evil, because that makes us easy to manage, to influence, to manipulate.  We have a natural addiction to being right, or thinking we are right, and those powerful forces feed our addiction like a street corner drug pusher, putting a needle filled with righteousness and sometimes anger into our arm.
